RIP Anton Yelchin

Was shocked to read of his death this morning.

"Actor Anton Yelchin, known for his roles in "Star Trek" and "Alpha Dog," was killed early Sunday morning after getting pinned by his own car . TMZ has learned.
Yelchin's friends became alarmed because he was supposed to meet them hours earlier for a rehearsal. They went to his San Fernando Valley home at around 1 AM and found him pinned between his car and a brick mailbox, which was attached to a security gate.
Law enforcement tells us the engine was running when his body was discovered, and the car was in neutral. The driveway was on a fairly steep incline. It's unclear why he got out of the car.
Cops do not suspect foul play.
Yelchin was 27.
RIP"

So sad. He was so young. And such a freak accident.

I'm hoping it happened quick and he didn't suffer. I have a bad feeling he may have been pinned and suffocated. Although if it was in neutral, he may have been able to budge it. I have no idea how steep his driveway was. Did he accidentally put the car in N instead of P? Such a little mistake and such a huge cost. My mind is racing.

Edit: TMZ adds: "Yelchin's 5,000 pound Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards and pinned him against the gate with such force, it bent the metal." I guess there's no escaping that.
