Death On Two Legs

Death comes to us all regardless of what we do. No matter whether we're good or bad, whether we're selfish or charitable, whether we live healthy or like a slob. Death is waiting in the wings for all of us and we all end up in the same place. What does it matter how you get there? And as far as legacy is concerned, what does it matter when you're not even there to enjoy it?

I don't know how nihilism isn't what everyone is feeling, at all times. I don't get positive, happy people. They're just living a waking lie.

the thing is that you’re totally right. nothing matters because we cease to exist when we die. there’s no reward for good behavior or punishment for bad behavior aside from the effect they have on your conscience.
people trash nihilists for being lazy slobs who use nihilism to justify living in their own filth but that’s just the dumb*sses. if you’re not a total idiot, your takeaway from that knowledge is that, since you only have a finite amount of time to live life and experience things before you die, you should make the most of that time and try to fill it with as many gratifying experiences as possible
