Being white is to be the minority.

I worked with an old muslim woman who constantly insulted any sort of white tradition or faith.
One day she told a 4 year old caucasian girl that santa claus didn't exist.
Actually he did exist, he was a german named Saint Nicolas for aiding children in need by giving them warm clothes in the winter time.

So I ask that ugly brown bitch; If Alah was real, than why would he make your race so ugly? The women look like the men and the men are weak chinned with a gonzo nose. Either Alah doesn't exist or he is actually the devil.

I was never racist growing up...but that is why this bothers me so much.Islam teaches that everyone is equal so where does that cow get off scarring a little girl with a lie! She obviously talks a lot about shit she doesn't know a god damn thing about.Speaks loads about how little muslims care about education for their women.

They want to know why life is so expensive in Canada?? BECAUSE YOU ALL WON'T STOP MOVING HERE AND USING UP OUR RESOURCES YOU SELFISH PIECES OF SHIT! Think about the children and stop judging us just because we have a different way of life in this country that you Chose to live in.

The last part is the bit that's important. The first part shows why.

Or do you think that they'll change their spots just because they choose to agree with you at this moment?

yes, if you read the comments below, you'll see we agree with most of what you just said.

Vanity, I've seen Christians say the exact same thing to children. I've seen people say it because they were mean, because they were intolerant, and even because they were trying to inform about beliefs and how they came about, though that last was usually with older children.

The OP claims not to be racist, but their words clearly tell a different story.

:p all about careful word choice. This was a cool conversation.

Yeah exactly!! You can't write all that stuff, so precisely read my mind, unless you have experienced it yourself. Just not possible. I like to think he got over it though. I hope he realized how much people appreciated his book, and I probably would have fallen in love with someone like that if they existed. Hahah :p

You just blew my mind. Lol and I'm a very difficult person to convince unless there are no holes or flaws in what someone else says - which is often untrue.

I like how the author made me feel.. Like it isn't unheard of to be so messed up in our own heads. I think he was depressed and was reflecting on many dark secrets in his past while writing this book.

You're a smart cookie. I agree, freedom isn't free, it's something you have to fight for and then own it. I think we're so lucky that we have freedom, it's something we take for granted. I think that old people are very set in their ways, and this will come off sounding prejudiced but Muslim people are taught from birth pretty much about their religion, and their fellow Muslims and are extremely loyal to their countries so much so that I would venture to say almost brainwashed, that no country is better, no people are better than theirs. The younger generations less so, but older people are fiercely loyal. No matter how crappy their country or people may have shown themselves to be, they will not accept it to another group, because it's like accepting something about you and for them, their core values, become questionable to them. That's a huge threat. :p so denial is often a central element in play to preserve that sense of self.

My favorite book actually. And the whole time I was wishing that I could meet the author, and have a cup of coffee and talk about life... too bad he's dead.

You are entirely right. I knew a young muslim couple who were amazing and loving as well as fresh off the boat. In truth I am 5th generation italian. We're all immigrants, save for the aboriginals (I hate that word... How can natives be ABoriginal?) but this women moved here several years ago because her husband said so. Sure it is likely due to the dangers that regular citizens face bc of the taliban or whichever group of murderers they have back home. So then where does she get off insulting the people who are trying to accept and protect her?
There are assholes in every race and if she was a true muslim, she wouldn't be this embarressment to the rest of her race.
I think I'm way too worked up about this but I so tired of the double standard.
I also believe in fixing our own problems. Third world countries are third world bc they have been made to rely on first worlds. It is time they themselves have a revolution without help. I want to help them, but I don't believe helping them flee to another country will do that.

If the americans have anything right, it's that freedom isn't free.

Lol that book is super duper awesome. :)

Yeah, people like that give others from their countries/faiths a bad name. I don't know how someone could do that to a little kid....that reflects that individual, not everyone is like them. But I bet that lady has probably faced a lot of racism since she has been here, unfortunately, and is defensive and taking it out on innocent people. Or she's just a crappy person. Dunno. She may have been forced to move here because her own country is dangerous, or maybe her husband moved here. Who really knows. But at the end of the day I really hope you realize not everyone is like her. People who immigrate here aren't all terrible. Like for example I wasn't given a choice to come here as a kid. Life IS better here although you miss your family bc in eastern areas family is important. But some of us are pretty grateful for where we are, and try to give back. But something happens, in that transition over. There's a feeling of isolation and that's probably where that woman is right now, she feels that she is an outgroup member and that's really too bad because in the end we're all just people.

I like your username. Good book :)
